Executive VoiceWorks
This course focuses on vocal development skills including self-awareness, vocal control, assertiveness, flow of speech, energy and good voice usage. It intends to create confident communicators who are effective whether they need to persuade, inform, motivate, negotiate or entertain. (six x 1-hour sessions, individual)
PresentationWorks
Usually a follow-on from Executive VoiceWorks, this course looks at developing creative content and effective delivery of material. It combines the vocal image with the body image into a unique presentation style. Confidence in public speaking is acquired. (four x 3-hour sessions or 2 full days, group 6-8 delegates)
Corporate Communication Skills Workshop
This workshop emphasises management and communication skills used to present ideas in a creative and plausible manner to define a competitive edge. It is a hands-on and interactive programme that is geared towards management. It also incorporates a voice and presentation skills module. (two – three days, group 5-8 delegates)
PhoneWorks for Frontline Staff
Training for frontline staff that encourages them to be clear, friendly and empathetic while representing the company image over a phone line. Vocal control, assertiveness, flow of speech, energy, attitude and etiquette is addressed. (four x 3-hour sessions, group 6-8 delegates or 7 x 1-hour individual sessions)
Call Centre Communication Skills
Specific skills for call centres, including phone skills, listening skills, complaints tactics and company discourse are addressed in this programme. There is a focus on voice development to encourage empathetic and interested interactions. (four x 3-hour sessions)
Speech Coaching & Script Analysis
VoiceWorks’ speech coaching improves presentation delivery to ensure an interesting talk that meets its objectives. Stage management, speech style, script analysis and performance is looked at (hourly, individual basis)
Function Guest Speaker
VoiceWorks’ consultants are available as guest speakers for functions from business breakfasts and lunches as well as conferences. Topics include "How to Use your Voice Skilfully", "Adding Sparkle to your Speech" and "Your Dynamic Voice on the Phone".
Voice and English Language Skills
This course focuses on vocal skills and on fluency of spoken English. Modules include work on accent neutralisation, grammar and comprehension skills. The aim is to ensure a confident, clear and coherent conversation with active listening and accurate speech. It is ideal for people whose mother tongue is not English. It can also incorporate vocabulary development and written skills.
Confident Xhosa
Craig Charnock, an umlungu, presents this workshop to enhance our awareness of this language, its culture and its people. Useful greetings, phrases and words are learnt and practised in a fun and enthusiastic environment. This workshop can also form a good team building activity.
